Overview

The NS310 Indoor Air Quality Multi sensor is a sophisticated low voltage digital sensor designed to monitor air quality comprehensively. It measures particulate matter (PM1.0, PM2.5, PM10), total volatile organic compounds (VOCs), carbon monoxide (CO), and ozone (O3). This sensor easily integrates into existing building control systems through RS485 digital output. The air quality data provided can be used to alert occupants and maintenance staff or to adjust ventilation systems.

Operation

The NS310 detects air pollution from micron-sized particles, VOCs, CO, and O3. It is suitable for both ceiling and wall mount applications, ideal for locations where occupant respiratory health is critical. The laser particle counter uses an internal fan to continuously sample air, providing real-time particle concentration data. The sensor classifies particles by size and sends the concentration values via RS485.

The gas sensors within the NS310 are sensitive to a range of VOCs, CO, and O3, providing comprehensive air quality monitoring. This data is also transmitted via RS485 for integration into building management systems.

Particle Pollution Level

Fine particles pose significant health risks, and the NS310 continuously monitors their levels to ensure safe indoor air quality. If particle pollution exceeds healthy levels, the sensor alerts occupants and recommends maintenance actions to adjust ventilation and filtration.

Total VOC Detection

Indoor VOC levels can be significantly higher than outdoor levels due to various sources like building materials and human activity. The NS310’s metal-oxide detector measures total VOCs, providing an index of overall air pollution. Continuous monitoring and ventilation adjustments help maintain safe indoor environments.

Carbon Monoxide Detection

CO is a dangerous, colorless, and odorless gas. The NS310 continuously monitors CO levels to prevent acute respiratory harm, dizziness, or more severe health issues. Immediate action is required if CO levels rise, including increasing ventilation or vacating the premises.

Ozone Detection

Ozone, another hazardous gas, is monitored by the NS310 to prevent respiratory issues. Even at low concentrations, ozone can cause significant health problems. The sensor ensures timely detection and prompts necessary actions to maintain safe air quality.

Product Features and Installation

The NS310 comes in a compact plastic enclosure, designed for easy wall or ceiling mounting. The back mounting plate is removable for easy installation. Simply secure the plate to the desired surface and reattach the front housing. The sensor’s sleek design integrates seamlessly into any environment.
